MCCA names Michael Kramer as new Director of Legal, Governance and Compliance
New hire advances MCCA’s commitment to operating with the highest standards of excellence
LANSING — The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) today announced Michael Kramer as its new Director of Legal, Governance and Compliance.
Kramer joins the MCCA with more than 30 years of legal experience and a strong background in litigation leadership, governance and organizational risk management. Most recently, Kramer served as assistant vice president – staff counsel at the Auto Club Group (AAA), where he led large, multi-state legal operations. His career reflects deep expertise in legal operations, compliance oversight, talent development and process improvement.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michael Kramer to our association,” said Kimberly Bezy, executive director of the MCCA. “Michael’s deep legal expertise makes him the perfect fit for this role and his experience will continue to advance the MCCA’s goal of supporting the most comprehensive auto insurance benefits in the nation through our transparent, fiscally responsible approach.”
Kramer holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and can practice in multiple federal courts. He has also earned an “AV” rating from the company Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest standards of professional excellence.
